At SnatchTik, privacy is not an afterthought — it's part of our core design, especially when using our TikTok Downloader. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what we never do with it.
Information We Collect
We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide the Service:
- Video URLs you submit — processed in memory to fetch your file. Not stored after processing.
- Anonymous usage analytics — via Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including page views, general geographic region (country/city level), device type, browser type, and interaction events (e.g., which format was selected). No personally identifiable information is collected by GA4.
- Server logs — standard web server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) retained for up to 7 days for security and debugging purposes only.
Cookies and Web Beacons
We use cookies to improve your experience. Specifically, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage. More importantly, we use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website.
Google AdSense and DoubleClick DART Cookie
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on SnatchTik.
- Google's use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on SnatchTik, which are sent directly to users' browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.
Note that SnatchTik has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.
How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used solely to:
- Process your download request
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Improve the Service based on anonymous usage patterns
- Protect our infrastructure from abuse and fraud
Data Retention
Media files: Automatically deleted within 15 minutes of processing. They are never permanently stored on our systems.
Server logs: Retained for a maximum of 7 days, then deleted.
Analytics data: Retained by Google Analytics per their standard data retention settings (default 14 months). This data is fully anonymized.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process limited data:
- Google Analytics 4 — for anonymous usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy →
- Google Fonts — to load our custom fonts. Google may receive your IP address when fonts are fetched.
- Cloud hosting provider — our servers may be hosted on platforms such as Railway or similar cloud providers, subject to their own privacy and data processing agreements.
Children's Privacy
SnatchTik is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Since we collect minimal identifiable data, most requests can be addressed simply by discontinuing use of the Service. For specific requests, please email us at privacy@snatchtik.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service from time to time. Changes are indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
